Quizmical's Story
Founded in 2005, QUIZMICAL - SOUND & VISION is a diverse Video and Music Production Company. Collaborating with clients and companies of all abilities throughout Queensland, Australia and beyond, developing a strong reputation as a result of our quality work and in the industry.
Quizmical has worked in the industry for over 20 years in a mixture of different roles, from location sound recordist for short films, music and corporate video projects, singer/songwriter, composer, recording engineer, live sound engineer, music producer, videographer, consultant/trainer for all things sound related,
TAFE teacher (12 years - Sound Production, Music Performance, Screen & Media; writing, delivering and assessing Cert III - Diploma level courses), and bass guitarist/vocalist in numerous original bands since the late 90's (including Einstein’s Lover,
Band From The Club and In2Nation - plus several other session recording jobs).
Most recent projects include voice over recordings for a surfing documentary (China) shot by the NY Times,
location recording and final sound mix - Bus Stop Films project (QLD Ballet), plus sound for award winning short film projects with APAC (Director - Mirko Grillini).
Other recent projects include studio album recordings for
Jeff Martin (The Tea Party), MC Wheels (recording, mixing, mastering and composition, as well as music film clips) and the late great Phil Emmanuel (recording engineer on his final album “Thunderbird”).
